Our goal is to record our music to sound as close to the original music as possible. We strive to include all great songs on every CD - not 1 good song and 4 filler songs.

We support the music industry by obtaining licenses to record the music and paying royalties to the writers of the songs. This ensures that we will be able to continue to offer our customers the best tracks from the most popular artists. Many of the "karaoke" companies pretend to offer "less expensive" products, but keep all the profit without paying royalties to those who created the original music. Priddis Music believes that feeling confident about the music you purchase is as important as the sound quality.

Priddis History

Twenty five years ago the only accompaniment option available to most singers was finding a friend who could play the piano. I wanted something better. Like lots of singers I dreamed of singing with my own live band, but I soon discovered that pulling a band together and dragging them around town was not always practical. So I looked to the music stores for something else to use. All I found was sheet music.

In 1984 I decided if I didn’t make my dream happen, perhaps no one would. So, I pooled my resources and went into the recording studio to get started. Someone else on the other side of the world had the same idea because soon after, along came the karaoke craze. Although karaoke wasn’t exactly what I had in mind, it proved very helpful in getting the message out that anyone could sing with their own band. As the popularity of karaoke grew, it became evident that there were two types of "karaoke" products: cheap karaoke music for lots of laughs, and professional performance music for serious singers. Through the years we have focused on providing professional quality music to singers who are serious about what they are doing.

As a singer myself, the most important requirement for these recordings was to make them sound as close to the original artist as possible. I wanted to sound just as good as what I was hearing on the radio. That meant using the best musicians and recording facilities in the business, live instrumentation wherever called for, and spending the time and money to ensure that the recordings were professional in every way. I think you’ll agree we have achieved that.

Now twenty five years and some 3,000+ songs after my first recording, I can say my dream is a reality. I’m happy to give you the opportunity to experience the thrill of singing with your own band.
